Orders, Shipping and Cancellations
There are 3 stages to our Checkout process. You are asked to confirm your order, confirm shipping rate (which is fixed) and securely add payment details (card number, expiry date and CVC number).
Orders will be dispatched within 3 working days however we will always try and dispatch next day where possible. Orders are sent either first class or second class by Royal Mail and if over £25 in value will require a signature on arrival, heavier items are sent via myHermes. Customers will be given a tracking number on dispatch.
Please allow 2-6 working days for delivery to UK destinations.
Please allow 3 to 14 days for delivery to the E.U (outside of the U.K)
We have set shipping rates for orders delivered to the UK.
Orders to a United Kingdom destination have 2 flat rate shipping charges (2nd class at £2.00 per order or 1st class at £4.00 per order). If you're buying a board game, we're pretty much going to use MyHermes so choose second class. Individual cards and packages that fit into a large letter (as per Royal Mail description, will be quicker using the first class option)
Customers outside of the U.K. but in E.U. countries are very welcome however are required to request a shipping quote from email@example.com to confirm shipping charges as these will dependent on weight and size.
We will provide a shipping quote within 24 hours of your e-mail based on weight. You will then be able to choose one of 3 shipping options available to you. Items will be sent first class through Royal Mail and delivery charges plus £3.10 costs (signature and packaging) will be payable.
0 to 100g£6.30
101g to 250g £11.80
251g to 2kg £21.95
We will not ship orders over 2kg in weight to countries in the E.U. but outside of the U.K.
Regrettably The CCG and Boardgame Social does not offer a service to countries outside of the E.U.
If you wish to change or cancel an order please contact us within 14 days of making your order by e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org or call us on 07720 274609. Please have your purchase information ready (order number, order details).
We use Stripe to process payments ( https://stripe.com/about ) They are certified to PCI Service Provider Level 1, the most stringent level of certification. All major credit and debit cards are accepted. While we do not support Paypal our e-bay shop does.
We endeavour to dispatch orders within 24 hours, if an order has already been dispatched customers will be refunded all costs other than the cost of returning the item.
V.A.T is included on published prices.
Returns & Exchanges
Our policy lasts 14 days. If 14 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it.
To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.
Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.
There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted: (if applicable)
- Cards with obvious signs of use
- Games or miniatures that have been opened (when previously sealed)
- Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error.
- Any item that is returned more than 14 days after delivery
Refunds (if applicable)
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.
Late or missing refunds (if applicable)
If you haven’t received a refund within 14 days after approval, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.
If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us at email@example.com.
Sale items (if applicable)
Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded.
Exchanges (if applicable)
We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org and send your item to: 55 Avon Street Warwickshire Warwick United Kingdom CV344PX.
If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.
If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and they will find out about your return.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item unless the return is due to an error made by The CCG and Boardgame Social. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.
If you are shipping an item over £50, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance.
